Mansoo Kim, DPT is graduated from Yong-In University in South Korea in 2004, majoring in Physical Therapy. He has worked as a physical therapist in Bobath Memorial Hospital Bundang, Korea for 4 years. To further challenges and broaden opportunities, He came to the U.S. He acquired his doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2012 at Dominican College in NY.
Dr. Kim has always wanted to add more tools to his toolbox to expand his knowledge base and scope of practice.
As a result, he became a licensed acupuncturist. Dr. Kim stated “I grew up in South Korea where acupuncture and herbs are the first methods to treat acute conditions. Now, I practice an “East meets West” two-method system and I have seen a synergetic effect for better results.”
Dr. Kim implements a combination of different techniques to care for his patients such as trigger point acupuncture, cupping, tuina, manual therapy, joint mobilization, and therapeutic exercise. With his background in Physical Therapy, his treatments go way beyond a standard acupuncture visit giving you “the best of both worlds”. That being said, patients who are seeking traditional acupuncture will get exactly what they desire.
Dr. Kim specializes in Neuromuscular and Orthopedic conditions, such as post-stroke rehabilitation, pre- and post-surgical conditions, and treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders and sports injuries.
