Manual therapy
Manual therapy is a primary modality of physical therapy. It is a skilled application of hands-on techniques by skilled clinicians to manipulate soft tissue, joints, and nerves.
Manual therapy is important for multiple body systems because hands-on manipulation can be very effective in decreasing pain and tissue tension, improving quality of movement, and guide a patient through their exercises. It will include joint mobilization and manipulation.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the practice of penetrating the skin with thin, solid, metallic needles which are then activated through gentle and specific movements of the practitioner's hands or with electrical stimulation.
Acupuncture is part of the ancient practice of Traditional Chinese medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine practitioners believe the human body has more than 2,000 acupuncture points connected by pathways or meridians. These pathways create an energy flow (Qi, pronounced "chee") through the body that is responsible for overall health. Disruption of the energy flow can cause disease. By applying acupuncture to certain points, it is thought to improve the flow of Qi, thereby improving health.

Cupping Therapy
The traditional Chinese medicine art of cupping therapy has been around since ancient times. If you have never tried this treatment, you may be surprised at the results. People have long used it for pain relief and overall wellness. The more you understand how it works, the more positive the experience you can have.
Our trained therapist will perform Cupping Therapy. The therapist places a flammable material such as alcohol on three to five cups. The person then lights them on fire. Once the flame goes out, the cups are placed on the patient’s bare back. The air inside creates a vacuum. The skin moves upward toward the cup.
